At the heart of the 3000i series lies a wealth of technology that guarantees a true advancement over the already award-winning series. P2P reinforcement has been introduced to help keep the speaker quieter. HPE TM technology eliminates resonance and equalizes air pressure. Finally, the 22mm wide surround high-frequency driver (microfiber soft dome) creates the same stereo dispersion.
The tweeters in the 3000i series are decoupled from the baffle (flexible suspension). As a result, the vibrations from the woofer (which can impair tweeter performance) are isolated. This allows the tweeter to operate with optimal performance.
Regardless of which 3000i model you choose, the cone is formed from impregnated and coated paper, then paired with a new low-hysteresis rubber surround. The coated paper cone offers the optimal balance between rigidity and self-damping. It can therefore accelerate without flexing and stop very precisely without any unwanted resonance.
The Q Acoustics P2P (point-to-point) system in the 3000i series supports the parts of the speaker that need to be reinforced, making the new cabinets extremely rigid, thus improving the focus of the stereo image and giving more precision to the sound stage.
