You can start a song using AirPlay from Apple Music, ask the Google Assistant to skip to the next track, and lower the volume in the Sonos app. Additionally, a single voice-enabled device allows users to request music or content to be played on other Sonos speakers in the system (such as the Play:1).
Request and control your music with your voice from a growing list of streaming services, including Spotify, YouTube Music, Google Play Music, Pandora, TIDAL, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, and Deezer, among others. Use your voice to skip to the next track, adjust the volume, or pause, with all available streaming services on Sonos.
Turn on the TV with the Google Assistant using the Beam’s HDMI ARC and CEC connection, switch from TV to music, and adjust the volume. Add a Chromecast Ultra for additional voice control features for your TV, including requesting specific shows or movies from streaming services.
Listen to a daily briefing, flight information, or travel time, set alarms, timers, and calendar appointments, or get answers about weather conditions, calculations, translations, sports, and more. All of this is part of the Google ecosystem. Ask the Google Assistant for directions, and they will be sent directly to an Android phone.
Ask the Google Assistant on Sonos to adjust the temperature or turn on the lights. To date, more than 200 million devices in homes around the world are compatible with the Google Assistant, now available on Sonos.
At €450, the new soundbar positions itself as an ideal solution for improving your TV's sound and integrating a voice assistant into your living room. Not to mention the other advantages such as multiroom and the ability to expand or give your audio system a facelift.
Priced at 449 euros, the Sonos Beam is an excellent soundbar at an affordable price point. Its versatility allows it to be used for both video and music. Its evolution with upcoming support for Google Assistant and AirPlay 2 makes it a sound investment.
The Sonos Beam comes very close to total success. It manages to achieve astonishing sound quality for such a compact size, while benefiting from all the attributes traditionally associated with Sonos products: one of the best multiroom systems available, intuitive use (albeit at the cost of a closed ecosystem and ultra-minimalist connectivity, admittedly), and unbeatable streaming compatibility...

It's a shame, however, that the integration of Alexa proves to be unsteady.

I was very disappointed with the musical rendering of this soundbar. I wanted to have an additional diffusion point for my Sonos system.
