A more sophisticated and mature version of the award-winning NightHawk, NightHawk Carbon features several acoustic, ergonomic and cosmetic refinements, adds a second pair of ear pads, and includes a more versatile and durable cable, while maintaining the extremely low distortion of its predecessor, unmatched comfort, and naturally beautiful sound.
Compared to the drive units commonly used in most headphones, the 50mm dynamic driver of NightHawk Carbon looks much more like the high-quality drive units found in today’s most sophisticated loudspeakers - not only in appearance, but more importantly, in terms of function and performance. It utilizes a carefully constructed biocellulose diaphragm, an acoustic coil former, and a compliant rubber surround, allowing for quality that is as easily seen as it is heard.
The earcups of NightHawk Carbon attach to its outer headband via small pivoting pins located on either side of the headband’s base, just above the suspension’s fork. A hidden inner elastic band is concealed by a soft, lightly padded cushion that yields and rises when met with resistance or pressure. In this simple way, the cushion automatically adjusts to the listener’s head - without clicking, snapping, guessing, or fiddling - ensuring an easy, comfortable fit, time and time again. Simply place NightHawk Carbon on your head and let it do its job. There’s nothing else to do but enjoy.
The open-back design of NightHawk Carbon’s earcups allows for an expansive three-dimensional soundstage with natural dynamics and smooth, coherent performance that extends into the lowest and highest octaves.

This headset is very good except for one detail: the included cable has a button to boost the sound - which is then excellent - but you can't keep pressing this button! And if you stop, the sound becomes bad, hollow and unpleasant.

I had to search a lot to come across this headset and I was seduced by the reviews, and I was not mistaken. The headset is huge in detail, the sound stage presence is very wide and the dynamics are perfect. Nothing else to say. Terrific!
