Solid core conductors eliminate distortion from strand interaction and reduce jitter. Silver-plated solid core conductors are ideal for high frequencies. High frequency signals travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Since the surface is very pure silver, the result is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but at a price much closer to a solid copper cable. It is an extraordinarily cost-effective way to manufacture very high quality subwoofer cables.
Any solid material in contact with a conductor helps form an imperfect circuit. Cable jacket and circuit board materials all absorb energy (loss). Some of this energy is stored and released as distortion. All conductors in Boxer cable use PE air tube insulation because air absorbs almost no energy and polyethylene is a low-loss material with a distortion profile that has no effect. PE air tube insulation produces much less blurring than many other materials.
100% coverage shielding is easy. To prevent captured RF interference from modulating the equipment’s reference ground, AQ’s noise dissipation system is necessary. Metal and carbon loaded synthetics prevent the majority of RF interference from reaching the equipment ground plane.

Excellent product that requires a bit of breaking in to manage the additional bass boost. The subwoofer is now set to 8 o'clock instead of 10 o'clock with the previous cable.

Hooked up to an M&K SOUND V10 PLUS subwoofer, it doesn’t hold back the sub’s quality—and that’s exactly what you want from a cable. The plugs are solid and grip the RCAs well. The cable is fairly stiff, which speaks to its quality. In short, classic AUDIOQUEST.
