Type 9 Speaker Cable

The low-distortion, low-noise Type 9 speaker cable is essentially Type 4, with better metal, and with additional layers and noise-dissipation techniques for more effective noise control than any previous iteration of Type 4. Additionally, the Type 9 conductors are slightly larger than previous cables in the 4 series. The conductors are spaced slightly further apart, reducing interaction between adjacent conductors by 35%.

While many AC power cables boast low DC resistance in order to accommodate high current demand, a cable’s characteristic impedance is also crucial to optimal performance.
