In use for a year now, this projector has been completely satisfying, even with a 4-meter-wide image. The brightness and sharpness are excellent.

The DLA-NZ7 is equipped with proprietary 8K/e-shift technology, an innovation that pushes the boundaries of image quality. This intelligent technology performs a shift in two directions to reproduce a stunning 8K image from 4K signals. Experience exceptional visual clarity and an immersive three-dimensional sensation thanks to the combination of high-resolution “e-shift” display and the 0.69-inch native D-ILA device.
The DLA-NZ7 projector introduces Frame Adapt HDR Generation 2 technology, an evolution of the Frame Adapt HDR technology. With a proprietary algorithm, this new generation instantly analyzes the peak brightness of HDR10 content per frame, adjusting the dynamic range in real-time for higher definition HDR images full of three-dimensional sensation.
The laser light source adjustment function offers unparalleled flexibility, with fine-tuning from 0 to 100 steps. Adjust the brightness according to the environment and your preferences for a tailored cinematic experience.
The DLA-NZ7 is the world’s first home projector capable of receiving 8K60p/4K120p signals. Advanced LSI technologies process the large amount of 8K input data, delivering stunning video images, regardless of the source.
Equipped with an all-glass lens with 17 elements in 15 groups, the DLA-NZ7 projects high-resolution 8K images into every corner of the screen. Enjoy maximum clarity and total immersion.
The 0.69-inch 4K D-ILA device offers a native contrast of 40,000:1, combined with dynamic light source control for an astonishing dynamic contrast of ∞:1. Dive into impressive and lifelike 8K images.
The DLA-NZ7’s light source is the latest BLU-Escent blue laser diode, offering exceptional brightness and longevity of 20,000 hours. This technology allows for dynamic brightness control for images closer to human perception.
A new mode based on maximum luminance enhances content reproduction, even with low maximum luminance, offering increased dynamic range and greater contrast.

I don't have enough perspective yet, and haven't used it much (this sun and strong heat this summer are perfect for lazing around).
I must have watched two movies on it.
What I can say, compared to my Sony 760 right out of the box, without any adjustments or calibration:
- Not less bright (as some may say)
- Very nice contrasts
- Beautiful depth of field
- Spot-on color accuracy
I'm still surprised by it.
I knew there would be a gap, but I didn't think it would be this much, and as I said, I haven't even done the firmware update that's available yet, or any convergence, nothing. And I am really, really HAPPY with my purchase❗️
