Advance Paris X-CD9 black

The X-CD9 is part of Advance Paris’s high-fidelity CD player range. This model combines modern digital technology with tube usage to deliver a high-quality listening experience. Designed to meet the expectations of music enthusiasts, the X-CD9 stands out for its meticulous design, versatility, and impressive sound performance.

Elegant Design in Service of Performance

The X-CD9 features a sleek and elegant design, typical of the Advance Paris brand. Its robust and thick metal chassis ensures excellent mechanical stability, reducing unwanted vibrations that could affect sound quality. The brushed aluminum front panel, equipped with a clear and readable LCD display, gives the device a modern yet timeless look.

The player incorporates a tray-loading mechanism known for its reliability and precision. This system enables smooth and seamless disc playback, ensuring optimal audio data extraction. Attention to detail is also evident in the quality of the control buttons, which provide a pleasant and precise tactile feel.

Cutting-Edge Technology for Faithful Sound Reproduction

At the heart of the X-CD9 lies a high-quality digital-to-analog converter (DAC), the Wolfson WM8761. This 24-bit/192 kHz DAC ensures precise and detailed conversion of digital signals into analog signals, preserving the integrity and richness of the original recordings. The DAC’s upsampling capability enhances the effective resolution of standard CDs, offering a more immersive and detailed listening experience.

One of the X-CD9’s key strengths is its tube output stage. Two miniature tubes are used to add a touch of warmth and smoothness to the sound signature, without compromising precision and clarity. This hybrid approach delivers a sound that is both analytical and musical, capable of satisfying even the most demanding audiophiles.

Comprehensive Connectivity for Seamless Integration

The X-CD9 stands out for its versatility in connectivity. It features RCA analog outputs and balanced XLR outputs, allowing optimal connection with a wide range of amplifiers. The coaxial and optical digital outputs provide the option to use the X-CD9 as a high-quality CD transport, pairing it with an external DAC if desired.

A notable feature is the USB-A port on the front panel. This input allows playback of audio files stored on USB drives or external hard drives, extending the player’s capabilities beyond standard CD playback. This functionality makes the X-CD9 a true hub for your music collection, whether physical or digital.

Meticulous Power Supply for Optimal Performance

The X-CD9’s power supply has been carefully designed. A 25 VA toroidal transformer provides stable and clean power to all circuits. This approach minimizes electrical noise and interference, contributing to the purity of the audio signal. The separation of power supplies for the different sections of the device (CD mechanism, DAC, output stage) further enhances sound performance.

An Immersive and Versatile Listening Experience

The X-CD9 excels in reproducing the subtlest nuances of recordings. Its soundstage is wide and deep, allowing precise localization of instruments. Vocals are rendered with remarkable presence and warmth, while instruments retain their natural timbre.

The combination of the high-resolution DAC and tube output stage offers a unique sound signature. The highs are airy and detailed without ever becoming harsh, the mids are rich and expressive, and the bass is deep and well-controlled. This coherence across the entire sound spectrum enables the X-CD9 to adapt effortlessly to all musical genres.

A Reliable Companion to Rediscover Your Collection

Thanks to its extensive compatibility (CD, CD-R, CD-RW), the X-CD9 allows you to rediscover your entire disc collection. MP3 file playback via the USB port further expands its possibilities, making this player a true bridge between the physical and digital worlds of music.

The included remote control provides intuitive operation of all player functions, including navigation through files stored on USB devices. The front display offers clear information about the current playback, enhancing the overall user experience.
