Rose HiFi RS130: The Ultimate in Network Transport
Its overall design maintains the identity of the existing ROSE design while simultaneously standing out in the space as a beautiful object. In particular, the ROSE logo-shaped ventilation hole has been introduced for the first time to highlight the delicate details. Additionally, a high-quality custom aluminum case is used to minimize minute vibrations, and an expensive heat-resistant aluminum case is applied to improve stability. The design of these parts reflects the sound master’s development philosophy to maximize transport performance, and these parts express the texture of a solid and clear sound in a balanced way.
40cm Touch LCD Screen
The unique full-size front screen of HiFi ROSE has been upgraded in resolution compared to the RS130 model. The applied 15.4-inch wide-viewing-angle multi-touch LCD screen maintains clear image quality at different viewing angles and expresses the image quality of album covers and videos fluidly and clearly.
Unrivaled Sound Quality
One of the notable features of the RS130 model is that it completely cuts off digital noise and optimizes stable digital output by using an optical network, an optical USB connection method, and a high-precision OCXO clock. These methods enable excellent resolution across all bands when reproducing a sound source and provide clear tonal contrast, making the sound more three-dimensional and vivid.
The manufacturer’s performance measurements using precision audio measurement equipment produced phenomenal measurements of 141.9 dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), 141.6 dB dynamic range (DNR), and -143 dB total harmonic distortion (THD + N).
Stable Power Supply and Smooth Audio Experience
Furthermore, a stable power supply environment is provided by applying a high-capacity super capacitor and a linear power stage configuration that blocks power noise, and an SSD dedicated to caching music files is applied to reduce the effects of vibrations and noise that occur when playing music files from a USB-connected hard drive. This prevents audio quality degradation and creates a smooth and consistent sound, completing a richer audio system experience.
Moreover, the RS130 supports an external master clock input to achieve perfect synchronization by increasing compatibility between peripherals. An external master clock input is necessary to process high-quality audio signals and maintain precise synchronization. The RS130 is designed to leverage this feature to eliminate jitter on S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and I2S output connections while maintaining a perfect signal.
Cutting-Edge Audio Performance
The new RS130 from HiFi ROSE is based on its own Rose audio engine and uses various signal processing technologies to transmit audio data externally without loss, separating each stage of the process and allowing it to operate independently. This ensures thorough processing of audio data without being affected by service process overload. The RS130’s operating system supports online streaming as well as MQA, DSD, and DXD files, enabling connection with various streams and devices such as Tidal, Qobuz, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Apple Music, Bugs, ROSE tube (exclusive app), Internet radio, CD, SSD, NAS, Bluetooth, Airplay, and DLNA. Additionally, further services can be supported through system software updates.
Uncompromising Audio Processing
A HiFi ROSE representative stated, “The new RS130 is a perfectly designed network transport that reflects all the features and specifications requested by users who have used our products and audiophiles. It is the result of our pride in understanding the high-end audio system environment with optimal compatibility. We therefore expect the new RS130 to be appreciated by more audiophiles as well as existing users who have used our products.”
