The Rose RSA720 is a USB hub using an optical fiber connection to completely block vibrations and electrical noise from external storage devices. It offers a reliable solution for simultaneously connecting multiple devices through its four independent USB ports.

Integration with the RS130 Digital Transport

The RSA720 is the perfect complement to HiFi Rose’s RS130 digital transport. Their combination allows for a perfectly optimized audio system. The RS130 can indeed take advantage of the optical link to eliminate any interference when reading from external storage media.

Isolation through Optical Transmission

The adoption of USB ports based on an SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) optical transceiver allows the RSA720 to completely eliminate electrical noise and vibrations generated by external storage devices. This technology ensures pure and interference-free data transmission.

Long-Distance Transmission

The RSA720 supports long-distance transmission via optical cables while maintaining USB 3.0 transmission speed. Depending on the SFP module used, the range can stably reach several hundred meters, offering great deployment flexibility. This feature is particularly useful when reliable and fast transmission is required despite significant distance.

USB 3.0 and 2.0 Compatibility

Equipped with four independent USB ports, the RSA720 offers two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. External devices can be connected in a plug-and-play manner, without the need for specific driver installation. This versatility ensures broad compatibility with a wide range of devices.

Simplified Connection

The rear panel of the RSA720 includes a USB-B 3.0 input and a 10G SFP input for the optical link. A selector allows switching between these two connection modes:

• In SFP mode, simply use the provided SFP modules and optical cable to connect the hub to the devices.
• In USB-B mode, a standard USB 3.0 cable can be used if the source device does not support optical transmission.

This flexibility facilitates the integration of the RSA720 into various configurations.
