Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the main difference between Phantom Ultimate and the older Phantom I 108 dB?

Phantom Ultimate features a processor four times more powerful, entirely redesigned drivers, Wi‑Fi 6, Google Cast, and Tidal Connect in addition to existing protocols. Frequency response now extends up to 35 kHz versus 27 kHz previously, with distortion reduced fivefold. The new DOS 3 system also brings AVL for automatic volume normalization and three optimized listening modes.

Can you mix different Phantom models in multiroom?

Multiroom works across all Phantom I, II, and Ultimate models, allowing you to create audio zones throughout the home. However, for a stereo pair, two identical speakers are mandatory (same model and same power). It is therefore impossible to pair an Ultimate 108 dB with a 98 dB or an older generation for stereo.

How does HBI technology reach 14 Hz?

HBI perfectly synchronizes the movement of the two side woofers working in opposite phase. When one pushes outward, the other pulls inward, creating internal air compression/decompression that generates extremely low-frequency pressure waves. This technique achieves infrabass frequencies that would be impossible with conventional drivers of this size.

Is the remote essential?

The integrated touch interface and smartphone app provide full control of essential functions. The Remote V2, however, adds convenience for frequent volume adjustments or track changes without reaching for your phone. It becomes particularly handy in home-cinema setups or during parties.

How does the Ultimate 108 dB compare with traditional speakers?

With 108 dB SPL and a 14 Hz to 35 kHz response, Phantom Ultimate rivals traditional hi-fi systems costing several times more and taking up ten times the space. ADH technology offers the musicality of Class A amplification with the efficiency of Class D, while SAM delivers a precision typically reserved for the most expensive studio monitors.
