Furutech Lan-8 NCF Plus (Ethernet RJ45 Network Cables)
The Lan-8 NCF Plus is a Category 8 shielded twisted-pair (S/FTP) RJ45 Ethernet network cable, used to connect a digital source (router, server, streamer) to the rest of the installation. It builds on the Lan-8 NCF by replacing its stranded wires with 24 AWG silver-plated α-OCC solid-core copper conductors, a choice intended to provide a more stable signal path with less distortion. Its diameter increases from 7 to 8 mm, allowing for triple shielding (aluminium foil and copper braid, around each pair and then the whole cable) that isolates electromagnetic interference and limits crosstalk. The connector shells incorporate Furutech’s Nano Crystal² Formula, a compound loaded with ceramic and carbon nanoparticles that dampens vibrations and dissipates static charges. The RJ45 connectors feature non-magnetic 24-carat gold-plated contacts. The cable is directional: the arrow indicates the source end. It supports up to 40 Gbit/s and 2000 MHz, and remains compatible with Cat 7 and Cat 6 sockets. Lengths range from 0.6 to 5 m, with 7.5 and 10 m available to order.
