Dolby Atmos Soundbars

Dolby Atmos soundbars add a vertical layer to sound: height channels place effects above the listener, for three-dimensional reproduction rather than on a single plane. Two methods coexist. Upward-firing speakers reflect sound off the ceiling, effective under a flat, not overly high ceiling. Virtualization, meanwhile, simulates height through signal processing, without dedicated speakers. The format is used via an HDMI eARC input, the only one capable of carrying uncompressed Atmos tracks from the TV. This selection of soundbars brings together Dolby Atmos-compatible models, with or without a subwoofer, often expandable with wireless surround speakers.
