Mini systems are convenient: Do everything at once - purchase, installation - but enjoy it for a long time… At least with the right system. If it’s missing essential features or if the included speakers are undersized, your enjoyment won’t last. With the X-HM 76 D, Pioneer has done everything to spare you that frustration: You can look for what’s missing in the streaming equipment of the Receiver/CD Player/Streamer system, you won’t find anything, except for new things to discover. For example, that in addition to free Internet radio, there are streaming services offering you access to millions of tracks for a low monthly subscription fee: Spotify, Tidal and Deezer for example, integrated into the X-HM 76 D. Or that the SACD DSD audio format can be downloaded and streamed over the network with the X-HM 76 D’s Hi-Res compatible DLNA player.
This is when you’ll notice the potential offered by the carefully manufactured speakers and the Class D amplifier with its 2x 50 W power of the X-HM 76 D. Not only will you learn, but the mini system will too, thanks to a free update. This way, it has Google Cast features, to connect to many tablet and smartphone apps, and FireConnect, to allow you to create a fully convenient Multiroom network in your home. AirPlay and Bluetooth features for quick connection to smartphones are of course already integrated into the X-HM 76 D, as well as DualBand Wi-Fi, because you don’t always have a LAN cable on hand.
