Overview

The LCD-X headphones are incredibly dynamic and clean, with a neutral and transparent sound signature that reveals the full content of a recording. They have quickly become the ultimate tool for sound engineers, musicians, and audiophiles due to their clarity and sonic precision. The sensation of space is stunning, and the mid and high frequencies offer a fabulous richness of detail, allowing for deeper immersion in a recording with enhanced airiness and separation between performers. Their performance is characterized by speed, agility, and liveliness. They can be powered directly by a portable player or other mobile devices, but they will, of course, deliver even better results when connected to an external amplifier.

Paired with a Chord Mojo², the sound benefits from a wide openness and very satisfying precision. The headphones are quite neutral, but exciting!

This headphone is truly excellent, it has everything you'd expect from a high-end model at a reasonable price. It's hard to find better in terms of quality, sound reproduction, and precision in this price range. No notable flaws, not surgical-sounding, I'd even say it has a pleasant analog touch. Voices are astonishingly realistic (Leonard Cohen gives you chills!) and everything is well-placed where it should be.
Deserves a very good dedicated DAC + headphone amp to get the most out of it (in my case a Pathos Aurium + MHDT Labs Orchid DAC).
Works very well with good tubes (a matter of taste) but also with more classic solid-state amps.
Some complain about its weight but it's actually not bothersome.
Deserves its 5 stars.

This is my first headset in this range and frankly the sound is excellent.
