TEAC UD-701N: A High-End Audio Experience

TEAC presents its latest creation, the TEAC ΔΣ (Delta Sigma) discrete digital-to-analog converter. Unlike generic integrated circuits, this DAC uses discrete circuits with an FPGA incorporating original algorithms. Analog signals are emitted with exceptional audio quality. DSD signals are transmitted without alteration, while PCM signals are converted to 1-bit signals after being subjected to a ΔΣ modulator.

A Dual Mono Structure for an Immersive Audio Experience

The dual mono structure is integrated throughout the TEAC UD-701N network player, from the power supply circuit with independent toroidal core transformers for each channel, to the D/A converter section and the analog output stage. This design ensures the absence of interference between the left and right channels, thus offering a rich and immersive sound experience, perfectly reproducing the sound space and dimensions.

Fully Balanced Transmission for Superior Audio Quality

The fully balanced transmission of analog output signals, from the D/A converter to the final output stage, contributes to improving the signal-to-noise ratio and expanding the dynamic range. Signals are transmitted purely, preserving the airy sensation characteristic of high-resolution audio sources.

Four Toroidal Core Transformers for Stable Power Supply

In addition to the two independent toroidal core transformers for the left and right analog signals, separate transformers are used for the network module and digital control sections. This ensures a stable power supply for the network module, requiring advanced processing, thus reinforcing the power supply of this section with linear power.

Exceptional Versatility with Preamp Functionality and Multiple Inputs

The TEAC UD-701N is not just a USB DAC/Network player; it also offers an analog preamp function with two LINE inputs via RCA/XLR and four digital inputs. You can therefore connect conventional audio sources in addition to the coaxial and optical digital inputs. The TEAC-QVCS volume control offers an adjustment precision of 0.5 dB, allowing you to achieve the ideal volume for your audio system or headphones.

TEAC-HCLD2 Output Buffer Circuits for Dynamic Audio Signal Transmission

The TEAC UD-701N is equipped with TEAC-HCLD2 output buffer circuits, which enhance the current transmission capabilities of the analog output circuits. These two-channel positive and negative circuits, with diamond buffer amplifiers, ensure lossless transmission of the dynamism of audio signals.
