The IPX4 rating indicates a level of protection defined by the IEC 60529 standard against water splashes from all directions, with no harmful effect on the operation of the device. This IPX4 certification covers heavy perspiration, moderate rain, and splashes, but excludes immersion and any direct water jet under a tap.

This water resistance is suitable for true wireless sports earphones worn while running or at the gym, portable Bluetooth speakers used on a patio or around a pool, and outdoor soundbars installed under a canopy. IPX4 water resistance protects the electronics from accidental splashes, without allowing submerged use or rinsing with a water jet.
