VIERA Connect allows users to enjoy video and music, sports, games, and a variety of other content in addition to standard TV movies and shows on a high-quality widescreen display using a simple remote control. The Internet Cloud service also supports interactive services using appropriate devices as well as an online shopping function on the Internet that enables this equipment to make purchases on the TV.

In addition to increasing the frames generated from 50 to 200 images per second, the backlight control has evolved through zone splitting. The precise flickering of the backlight reduces afterimages, producing fast and fluid movements without blur. Images of sports, action scenes and other rapid movements are sharp and clear.
