Compatible 3D
3D compatibility refers to the ability of a device or system to display and reproduce three-dimensional content. This can apply to various types of equipment, such as televisions, computers, game consoles, DVD or Blu ray players. To be 3D compatible, a device must have certain technical features, such as the ability to display stereoscopic images (that is, two slightly different views, which are combined by the eye to create the impression of depth). It may also be necessary to use special glasses to perceive the 3D effect. There are several 3D compatibility standards, which determine the technical characteristics and file formats compatible with each type of device. For example, some televisions may be compatible with the HDMI 1.4 standard, which makes it possible to transmit 3D data in high definition.
