As you would expect from any Marantz audio/video receiver, the SR6008 has received special attention to audio quality, delivering an extremely immersive and detail-rich surround sound experience.
Moreover, the innovative current feedback amplifier topology and exclusive Marantz HDAM high-definition modules provide the SR6008 with surprising power and finesse.
Unsurprisingly, it has the same DLNA networking features for seamless HD audio streaming as its big brother, the SR7008, as well as Android integration, Spotify service, Internet radio, and AirPlay streaming from iTunes or any iDevice.
Equipped with a handy front-panel HDMI input, it also has two HDMI outputs on the rear for simultaneous output. It also features another new HDMI output for multi-room use.
Like its sibling, it incorporates Audyssey DSX and DTS Neo:X 7.1 processing, a digital iPod-compatible USB input, and an MM Phono input for vinyl enthusiasts. Beyond this versatility, the SR6008 is also very powerful: 185 W for each of its seven channels, to be exact.
And, since the digital audio signal (up to Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD) is transmitted via one of the six HDMI inputs supporting 4k 3D format, the resulting audio quality is literally breathtaking. Moreover, calibration and optimization are quick and easy with Audyssey MultEQ XT Pro, the setup assistant, and the on-screen graphical user interface.

In the 2013 Marantz lineup, between the SR5008 and SR7008, we find the SR6008. It shares the same design with its little brother, the Audyssey MultEQ XT automatic calibration system but here in its Pro Ready version, the Analog Device video processor and network functions. It benefits from a higher power of 10W/channel, a richer set of connections with a second HDMI output, 2 pairs of terminals and additional audio/video inputs (knowing that the 7.1 analog input is still included), and additional features such as InstaPrevue or even DSD support via HDMI.

Audio and cinema quality that lives up to its reputation. Equipped with Cabasse and Triangle speakers, it's a treat to buy with your eyes closed, and at this price, you won't find cheaper with the homeciné solutions service.
