Onkyo TX-NR636 black

The success of the TX-NR636 comes down to three reasons. First, it’s one of the only A/V receivers to support future Ultra HD video broadcasting as well as 4K gaming at 60 frames per second, thanks to its 4K/60Hz-compatible HDMI inputs and support for the HDCP 2.2 high-definition digital content protection standard.

Plus, if you have an Ultra HD screen, the Qdeo upscaling technology can convert DVDs and low-resolution games to Full HD or 4K with extreme precision. Second, it delivers incredible sound with a three-stage inverted Darlington circuitry on the front and center channels for immersive surround sound and two-channel audio.

Finally, it’s extremely easy to use with built-in Wi-Fi for universal high-definition audio streaming from your computers, NAS servers, and smartphones. You can use a wide range of music streaming services and access your networked music libraries using the Remote App, or stream any type of audio via Bluetooth. The on-screen menus and InstaPrevue technology simplify and speed up content loading.

Add in a moving magnet phono stage, room equalization, and powered zone 2 outputs, and you get a formidable 7.2-channel heavyweight ready for the next wave of high-resolution entertainment.
