This model is equipped with Panasonic’s unique Direct Chroma 4K upscaling technology. By converting Full-HD luminance and chrominance signals into 4K signals, this technology offers even higher precision image processing.

Magnificent colors and details

The technologies of Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, which form the basis of Blu-ray disc research and development, are implemented in Panasonic’s unique high-precision 4K Chroma processor. The color signals of 4K images (4:2:0) are interpolated to 4K (4:4:4) through a chromatic process using multi-tap filters, for natural textures and depth.

Dazzling images even on an SDR TV

A unique optimized tone remapping technology for Ultra HD Blu-ray/SDR conversion maximizes the characteristics of 4K content and provides a better experience than Blu-ray on an SDR TV.
