With over a decade of experience in cutting-edge video and high-fidelity audio technologies, the UDP-205 EU is the perfect choice for the most demanding enthusiasts. The OPPO UDP-205 EU delivers reference-quality sound through its high-end analog outputs, built-in headphone amp, and audiophile clock. For the analog output stages, the UDP-205 EU uses two ESS ES9038PRO DACs, the top-of-the-line models in the ESS SABRE PRO series, providing exceptional audio performance.
With more than a decade of experience developing high-end DVD and Blu-ray players, OPPO has once again partnered with MediaTek to produce and manufacture the OP8591, a quad-core video processor specialized in 4K UHD resolution processing. It offers the most advanced video decoding and image processing technology available to date for 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and video file content.
The OPPO UDP-205 EU is equipped with two ESS Technology ES9038PRO 32-bit HyperStream DACs for stereo and 7.1 analog audio outputs. As the flagship DAC in the ESS SABRE PRO series, the ES9038PRO sets a new benchmark in audio excellence with an exceptional dynamic range of 140 dB.
The UDP-205 EU player features a proprietary UHD mechanism enabling ultra-fast disc loading, broad compatibility with optical discs on the market, and excellent error detection and correction for optimal playback of your discs. Mounted on suspension feet, the optical block is protected from vibrations by two anti-vibration isolation systems. Finally, the optical block is calibrated and tested at the factory.
After an initial 4K Blu-ray player, the UDP-203, Oppo is back with a higher-end player aimed at audiophiles. Optimized circuits, anti-vibration chassis, Hi-Res DAC and asynchronous USB are some of the signs sent to music lovers.
