Optoma laser projectors use high-quality lasers to create the projected image. In most situations, the perceived brightness of laser projectors can be twice that of a lamp-based model. They also offer increased efficiency in maintaining constant brightness, superior color performance, instant on/off, and an extraordinary 20,000-hour lifespan.
With over eight million pixels, Ultra HD 4K resolution delivers four times more detail than Full HD, providing sharper, more realistic images and richer colors; allowing you to sit closer to the screen and enjoy a more immersive experience.

I'm not a professional and I don't have my own points of comparison, but coming from an old Epson DLP 720p, the difference is staggering. The definition is simply stunning. Now the image quality is dictated more by the source than by the projector. I'm projecting on a 2m wide screen (I don't have more space) at the maximum possible distance (4.3m). At this size even in "eco mode" the brightness is very good and it honestly works even in mid-daylight. However, I find the projector relatively noisy, hence the 2 stars less. In my conditions in eco mode it is "acceptable" but at full brightness it is quite noisy (even if I don't need it in my conditions, if one day I had to go to larger diagonals ...). In addition, I am obliged to operate it at 25 or 50Hz because at other frequencies it becomes much noisier (between fan and color wheel). I don't know if it comes from a resonance problem between 50Hz power supply and color wheel but in any case it is quite annoying for Home Cinema). It's a shame because the image is really superlative, but in this price range I expected much better in terms of noise.
