The TX-SR494DAB amplifier-tuner elevates your Dolby Atmos experience in DTS:X format. Dolby Surround and DTS Neural:X technologies complement native 3D audio playback. DTS Virtual:X is an innovative surround sound virtualization technology that creates an immersive 3D experience from any speaker configuration, including 2.1, 3.1, 5.1 and 7.1 setups, without requiring surround or rear speakers. Using sophisticated DSP algorithms, the technology places listeners at the center of a multidimensional sound field with striking height and surround spatiality, delivering convincing performance in both large and small spaces. DTS Virtual:X is compatible with DTS:X soundtracks, DTS formats, and non-encrypted stereo, thus operating in the 3D domain.

AccuEQ calibration with subwoofer volume calibration and AccuReflex technology

The AccuEQ Room Acoustic calibration system achieves optimal sound quality in your room by considering various parameters such as the presence, size, and distance of speakers from the measurement position. It adjusts sound pressure levels for each speaker, selects the optimal crossover filter for the subwoofer, and applies equalization to all speakers for a harmonious sound experience. With AccuReflex technology, which supports Dolby Atmos, the system optimizes the reproduction of moving sounds for enhanced localization. It also resolves phase shift issues caused by path differences between directional and non-directional sounds, generating a 3D sound field with a new height dimension for a more immersive audio experience.
