A frame that disappears in favor of the image
At 10 mm wide, the Edge|One ranks among the thinnest framed screens on the market. Most competing models feature between 18 and 60 mm of visible border. This slimness changes the visual perception: the image seems to float on the wall rather than being framed. The effect is reminiscent of a TV with minimalist borders, except that here the diagonal reaches nearly 2.80 meters.
The frame is made of aluminum, a classic choice in this segment. The material provides the rigidity needed to maintain tension without weighing the whole assembly down: 10.5 kg for the complete structure with material. The edges are beveled and covered with a matte black coating that absorbs projector light overspill. This detail prevents unsightly gray fringes that appear when the projected image slightly exceeds the surface of the material.
The PureView material and its alternatives
The standard-included PureView material is a standard white PVC surface. Its 1.1 gain means it reflects 10% more light than a perfectly diffusing reference surface. In practice, this results in a slightly brighter image in the center with no noticeable loss on the sides. The viewing angle remains wide, compatible with viewers seated around the edges of the room.
This type of material suits the majority of installations in a controlled environment, meaning in a room where ambient light can be reduced during projection. Standard-throw, short-throw, and ultra-short-throw projectors all work properly on this surface. On the other hand, if the room receives a lot of natural light or if lights remain on during use, an ALR material (ambient light rejection) will be more suitable. A mounting system designed for solo installation
The wall mount uses spring fixings. This mechanism allows the screen position to be finely adjusted after hanging it, without having to disassemble the whole unit. The frame breaks down into sections that can be assembled, making transport easier in stairwells or narrow hallways. The material tension is ensured by the rigidity of the frame itself. The resulting flatness is durable: no clips or external tensioning systems likely to loosen over time. Storage should be done flat to preserve this tension over the long term.
