Turntable Center Rings Puresound T 10

The T10 transformer was developed to allow the Pure Sound P10 phono preamp to be used with moving coil cartridges.

Numerous experiments have demonstrated that better results are obtained when using a properly matched transformer via the load of the moving coil cartridge. The Pure Sound T10 Impedance Matching Transformer contains two wide-band, custom-made transformers. They have a natural unloaded ratio of 15:1 between them.

The T10 also includes the ability to modify the load seen by the cartridge. It allows different secondary load resistances to be placed across the secondary winding of each transformer. These, acting in parallel with the load resistance (typically 47K ohms) of a phono stage, are reflected through the transformer to the cartridge. Thus, the optimal load of the chosen cartridge can be easily found by ear. The T10 impedance matching transformer meets the very strict performance criteria required of all Pure Sound products, and will give excellent reproduction results with a wide variety of moving coil cartridges.
