I've had this subwoofer for 1 month now and I really don't regret my choice!
For several years, I didn't want a subwoofer for hi-fi and home theater because I always found that it tried to do too much!
"Good, well-powered speakers already go low enough" but... they often lack that impact and depth that you can feel in your body at moderate volumes.
This subwoofer blends in so well that sometimes when listening to music, I turn it off thinking my speakers are doing all the work... but they're not! It does what it needs to support them and make you feel the bass!
For home theater, I watched "Jurassic World" with a big smile and a lot of amazement at its precision. No showy, house-shaking rumble! (That's fun for 2 minutes but that's it).
I'll add that the phase control, which is often either 0 or 180 degrees, is adjustable via a knob on this model and it's very useful for me! The subwoofer is in the front center with the center channel, and the 5th notch above 0 provides the best balance with my speakers (less exaggerated bass).
This SVS PB-2000 is really a great product with its well-finished, sturdy metal grille... reassuring when you have kids and pets!
