Naim Audio XPS DR

The Naim XPS is a highly sophisticated power supply featuring six separately regulated low-noise outputs, a toroidal transformer, and six power regulators. These power supplies are further branched and regulated, sometimes twice, within the CD player. The addition of anti-vibration feet that limit resonance complements the elegant cast and extruded anti-magnetic chassis, protecting sensitive internal components from resonance and microphonic vibrations. A new version of the XPS was released in 2012, following a two-year project to develop a new discrete regulator (DR) dedicated to Naim power supplies. In addition to improvements in cable routing, Naim’s new DR features mechanical decoupling and internal rearrangement. These enhancements, developed through intensive listening tests, significantly increase performance for more communicative music and unparalleled musical enjoyment.
