The 705 is a compact two-way system, suitable for use on a stand or shelf. We recommend using the FS-700 stand which can be screwed directly under the base of the speaker.

The woven Kevlar bass/midrange driver features numerous improvements to reduce the distortions encountered in most electrodynamic speaker motors.

These improvements have been applied to all cone speakers in the series. On most transducers on the market, the inductance of the voice coil varies depending on its position in the magnet gap; this has the effect of varying the speaker’s response throughout each cycle.

When reproducing low frequencies or when the level increases, these variations can be significant. BetW has combined the use of a copper ring encircling the core and an aluminum disc fixed to the top to eliminate these variations.

This reduction in modulation distortion brings more character to the sound material, definition at high levels, and improves the reproduction of the most delicate details.
