Floor-standing speakers, thanks to their increased bass power, are better suited to large rooms, which does not mean that their use is not possible in a more limited environment.

The 704, the smallest of the floor-standing speakers in the series, is a two-and-a-half-way system. Low frequencies are reproduced simultaneously by the two cone speakers, but in order to preserve better vertical dispersion of sound, the speaker placed at the bottom of the enclosure is filtered above 150 Hz, leaving the model with a Kevlar diaphragm to handle the reproduction of the midrange alone.

The mounting of the tweeter in its own independent enclosure, placed on top of the speaker, maintains this dispersion up to the highest frequencies, ensuring better stability of the three-dimensional image, even when the listener is not positioned exactly equidistant from the two speakers.

The ability to align the tweeter exactly with the woofer/midrange speaker improves its integration into the overall system.

Similar to the large 703 and small 705, the 704 is designed to deliver the best in terms of depth and width of the sound image when positioned away from walls.

However, for those who have no choice but to place their speakers near walls, the unnatural increase in bass that results can be easily compensated for by blocking the vents with the supplied foam plugs.
