Loewe We. SEE 55 OLED dc
Overview
The We. sub-brand expands Loewe’s offering to a broader audience than the iconic or bild i series, without abandoning the aesthetic codes of the German company. This 55-inch model combines a 4K OLED panel, a slim SL8 chassis, the Loewe os9 system with the VIDAA interface, and a 60 W Invisible Sound audio system with Dolby Atmos. The dc version adds Dual Channel technology, absent from the standard version.
4K OLED panel with Dolby Vision IQ
The 55-inch WRGB OLED panel displays 4K (3,840 × 2,160 pixels) with stated brightness up to 800 cd/m² and a response time of one millisecond. OLED technology lights each pixel individually, delivering absolute black and immeasurable contrast, a valuable advantage for dark scenes or films mastered at 24 frames per second.
The main HDR formats are supported: HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision IQ. This latter variant adjusts colorimetry according to the ambient brightness measured by the TV’s sensor, useful in a living room exposed to afternoon sunlight. The wide color gamut (WCG), combined with a 120° viewing angle, preserves the image when several viewers are positioned around the screen. The TV includes an auto-dimming mode, Ultra HD upscaling for lower-definition sources, and adaptive contrast.
Integrated Invisible Sound and Dolby Atmos
The Invisible Sound system brings together six speakers concealed in the chassis, powered in class D for an RMS power output of 2 × 15 W and a total music power of 60 W. Rendering supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD, making it possible to enjoy an expanded soundstage without an external soundbar. For movie nights or rooms larger than 25 m², adding a soundbar via the eARC output or a subwoofer via the 3.5 mm output remains preferable.
Automatic volume control and the Dynamic Loudness function prevent gaps between dialogue passages and sound effects, while the equalizer allows the sound signature to be adjusted to the type of content. The AI Audio Quality function analyzes the signal to adapt processing to the source.
Dual Channel and dual triple tuner
The distinguishing feature of this dc version lies in Dual Channel technology and the dual triple tuner. Two separate tuners simultaneously receive two DVB-T2 HD, DVB-C, or DVB-S2 streams, making it possible to watch one channel while recording another to a USB hard drive, or switch to time-shifted playback on one program while a second runs in the background.
For satellite users, the DiSEqC and Unicable functions simplify installation, including in multi-receiver configurations with a single cable. The electronic program guide (EPG), teletext, HbbTV, and storage for up to 10,000 channels complete the reception section. A split-screen function displays two sources side by side.
HDMI 2.1 connectivity and gaming
The HDMI connectivity includes four inputs, two of which are in 2.1 format, compatible with 4K at 120 Hz, VRR (variable refresh rate), and ALLM (automatic low-latency mode switching). Gamers on PS5 or Xbox Series X will take advantage of these features to reduce tearing and latency, without having to manually adjust settings for each session.
The other two HDMI ports are 2.0b, sufficient for a UHD Blu-ray player or a set-top box. Audio return works via eARC to transmit uncompressed Dolby Atmos streams to a soundbar or amplifier. The TV also includes two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an RJ45 Ethernet port.
Loewe os9 and connected ecosystem
The Loewe os9 system, based on the VIDAA Smart TV interface, provides access to an app store and a set of preinstalled services: Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, YouTube, Deezer, Zattoo, HD+, and Magenta TV. Voice control works via VIDAA Voice and Alexa Skills, with a microphone built into the included Loewe Remote Alu remote control.
The TV supports Apple AirPlay for streaming from an iPhone or a Mac, Miracast for Android and Windows devices, as well as the Matter protocol, which opens compatibility with a growing number of connected devices. For advanced home automation integration, native compatibility with the Control4 and Crestron protocols is planned.
SL8 chassis made in Velenje
The SL8 chassis has a thickness of 6.8 cm, in glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFR) and glass in the Coal Black finish. The ±45° swivel tabletop stand in metal painted in the same shade allows the screen to be reoriented according to the viewer’s position, useful in an open-plan living room where the viewing angle changes depending on use.
Assembly is carried out at the Loewe factory in Velenje, Slovenia, as part of the Loewe Colab Design program. Wall mounting to the VESA 300 × 200 mm standard is compatible, and ceiling or floor stands are offered as accessories. On the power consumption side, the energy class is F in SDR and G in HDR, at 77 and 82 kWh/1,000 h respectively.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the We. SEE 55 OLED and We. SEE 55 OLED dc versions?
The dc suffix stands for Dual Channel. The dc version includes a dual triple tuner (DVB-T2 HD, DVB-C and DVB-S2), which allows you to watch one program while recording a second simultaneously, or to use the timeshift function on one channel while another is active. The standard version only has a single tuner per standard. For everything else (panel, sound, connectivity, design), the two models are identical.
Does the TV display Dolby Vision in all streaming apps?
Support depends on the application itself. Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and Apple TV+ deliver Dolby Vision on this model when the content offers it. YouTube, on the other hand, does not stream in Dolby Vision: its HDR content is in HDR10 or HLG. Dolby Vision IQ compatibility also adjusts the rendering according to the room’s ambient brightness, for sources that use this format.
Is the rotating base included as standard?
Yes, the ±45° swivel table stand in Coal Black painted metal is included in the box with the Loewe Remote Alu, two AAA batteries, the power cord, and the documentation. It allows manual rotation of the screen according to the viewer’s position. For wall installation, the television is compatible with a VESA 300 × 200 mm mount, to be purchased separately.
Is the television compatible with professional home automation integration?
Yes, Loewe has integrated the Control4 and Crestron protocols in addition to Wake-on-LAN and Wake-on-WLAN functions. The TV can be controlled by an audio-video integrator in a custom installation (automatic power-on, source selection, volume management) without the need for external modules. Matter compatibility also opens gateways to consumer smart home ecosystems (Apple Home, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings).
What operating system does the television use?
The television runs on Loewe os9, a software layer developed by Loewe based on VIDAA Smart TV, a platform also used by other manufacturers. It provides access to an app store and the main preinstalled streaming services. The interface can be navigated with the supplied Loewe Remote Alu remote control, which also connects via Bluetooth to enable voice control through the built-in microphone.
