ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode)

ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) is an HDMI feature that allows a source device (console, PC, set-top box) to automatically switch a compatible display to low latency mode, without manual intervention. This mode disables image processing that can delay the display, thereby reducing input lag and improving smoothness, especially for gaming. It can also be useful for videoconferencing, karaoke, or other interactive uses. Initially linked to HDMI 2.1, ALLM is now supported by many televisions, consoles, and AV receivers. Its effectiveness varies depending on the devices, and some PC monitors, already optimized, benefit less from it.
