A Bluetooth turntable sends sound wirelessly to a compatible speaker or pair of headphones, without having to run a cable to the hi-fi system. It includes a phono preamp and a Bluetooth transmitter: the cartridge signal is amplified, equalized, then transmitted by radio to a Bluetooth speaker, soundbar or headphones. Put on the record, pair it once, and the music plays at the other end of the room. It is the simplest setup for listening to vinyl in a bedroom or living room without a fixed installation. The trade-off lies in the connection. Bluetooth compresses the signal for transmission, putting it behind a wired output in terms of detail and dynamics; more advanced codecs narrow the gap without eliminating it, provided the speaker supports them too. There is also slight latency, with no consequence for relaxed music listening. The good news is that almost all these turntables retain a standard wired output: enjoy wireless convenience every day, then switch to a cable when aiming for more serious listening. This turntable transmits to a Bluetooth or connected speaker, and its wired output connects to an amplifier or goes through a separate phono preamp when looking for better than a radio connection.
