Mini LED Televisions

Mini-LED televisions use an LCD panel lit by very small diodes, far more numerous than those in conventional LED backlighting. Grouped into local dimming zones, they switch off the backlight behind dark parts of the image: contrast increases and blacks deepen, with high brightness peaks, an advantage in both bright rooms and HDR. LCD-specific limitations remain, including slight blooming around bright objects against a black background and narrower viewing angles than a self-emissive panel. The number of zones and maximum brightness distinguish the models, as do the 100 or 120 Hz panel, HDMI 2.1 and the HDR formats supported for gaming and movies. This selection of high-definition televisions brings together Mini-LED models, to be complemented by a soundbar and an HDMI cable suitable for 4K/120.
