Every component of the AV receiver can affect sound quality. For the AVENTAGE models, we took all the time necessary to identify or develop the most suitable parts, then test them together in prototypes. These tests allowed our acoustic technicians to meticulously fine-tune the sound to ensure unrivaled performance.

Symmetrical amplification

This is one of the many design details that contribute to the exceptional quality of this receiver range. The interior layout and circuitry have been carefully designed so that the left and right channels are isolated, both physically and electrically. This optimizes channel separation and signal-to-noise ratio, helping to deliver a vast and open sound worthy of a recording studio.

Support for HDMI 2.0 specifications

This model will be HDMI 2.0 compatible. It supports pass-through of 4K Ultra HD signals at 50 Hz/60 Hz to deliver smooth, high-definition images. It also supports RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:2:2 and YCbCr 4:2:0 video signals for stunningly realistic pictures.

With A.R.T. Wedge technology, sound quality is no longer compromised by vibrations

A.R.T. (Anti-Resonance Technology) is a fifth foot placed at the center of the unit. It absorbs vibrations emitted by the transformer, power transistors and heat sinks, as well as vibrations that may be caused by the sound from the speakers.

Built-in Wi-Fi and Wireless Direct for simplified connectivity

The built-in Wi-Fi function allows you to establish a wireless connection to your router, greatly simplifying the connection of the system to the network and the use of various audio streaming services. If no Wi-Fi router is available, the Wireless Direct function will allow you to not only stream your music directly from your smartphone or tablet via AirPlay or MusicPlay, but also control your amplifier using the AV Controller app.

Network functions

This amplifier offers a range of network functions that facilitate its use and allow access to additional sources. You can connect the amplifier to a computer to listen to web radios, Spotify, Pandora, and control your system via Web Browser Control. The AV Controller app (available on the iTunes AppStore and Android Market) allows you to control various amplifier functions from an iPod, iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone/tablet.

MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) compatibility for HD Audio and Video

MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) allows you to connect a compatible mobile device to the AV receiver to play 1080p video content while enjoying 7.1 multi-channel surround sound. During playback, the connected device will be charged by the amplifier. Basic control operations such as Play & Stop can be sent from the remote control.

YPAO-R.S.C. (Reflected Sound Control) audio optimization with multi-point measurement

In just a few minutes, YPAO calibration automatically adjusts numerous parameters to provide optimal sound based on your listening room. This system uses Reflected Sound Control technology to correct the negative effects of sound refraction, in order to obtain a studio-quality audio environment without specific acoustic treatment of your room. It also allows you to adapt the different DSP modes, including CINEMA DSP, to the acoustic properties of the room.

Virtual CINEMA FRONT: superb virtual 7.1 High Resolution sound

For installations with space constraints, Yamaha’s Virtual CINEMA DSP technology allows you to enjoy a stunning virtual Surround sound field using only front speakers in the listening area. This exclusive Yamaha technology relies on the use of two Surround speakers and a center speaker placed at the front for a high-resolution 7-channel* Surround field, with incredible virtual reproduction of the rear channels. By adding two front presence speakers, it is even possible to create a 3-dimensional sound space with vertical movement effects.
