H-Shaped Chassis Cross Member

The receiver’s interior is reinforced with an H-shaped chassis, ensuring stability and rigidity. This virtually eliminates all vibration, even at high volumes (as even minor vibrations can degrade sound), for exceptional audio quality.

Symmetrical Amplification

This is one of the many design details contributing to the exceptional quality of this receiver range. The unit’s interior and circuitry have been carefully designed so that the left and right channels are isolated, both physically and electrically. This optimizes channel separation and signal-to-noise ratio, helping to deliver a vast, open sound worthy of a recording studio.

HDMI 2.0 Specification Support

This model will be HDMI 2.0 compatible. It supports 4K Ultra HD 50 Hz/60 Hz pass-through signals to deliver smooth, high-definition images. It also supports RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:2:2, and YCbCr 4:2:0 video signals for stunningly realistic images.

A.R.T. Wedge Technology Prevents Sound Quality Degradation from Vibrations

A.R.T. (Anti-Resonance Technology) is a fifth foot placed at the center of the unit. It absorbs vibrations from the transformer, power transistors, and heat sinks, as well as vibrations that may be caused by speaker sound.

Built-in Wi-Fi and Wireless Direct for Simplified Connectivity

The built-in Wi-Fi function allows you to establish a wireless connection to your router, greatly simplifying the system’s network connection and the use of various audio streaming services. If no Wi-Fi router is available, the Wireless Direct function lets you not only stream music directly from your smartphone or tablet via AirPlay or MusicPlay, but also control your receiver using the AV Controller app.

Network Functions

This amplifier offers a range of network functions that facilitate its use and allow access to additional sources. You can connect the amplifier to a computer to listen to web radios, Spotify, Pandora, and control your system via Web Browser Control. The AV Controller app (available on the iTunes AppStore and Android Market) allows you to control various functions of the amplifier from an iPod, iPhone, iPad or Android Smartphone/Tablet.

MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) compatibility for HD Audio and Video

MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) allows you to connect a compatible mobile device to the AV amplifier to play 1080p video content while enjoying 7.1 multi-channel sound. During playback, the connected device will be charged by the amplifier. Basic control operations such as Play & Stop can be sent from the remote control.

YPAO-R.S.C. (Reflected Sound Control) audio optimization with multi-point measurement

In just a few minutes, YPAO calibration automatically adjusts numerous parameters to provide optimal sound based on the listening room. This system uses Reflected Sound Control technology to correct the negative effects of sound refraction, in order to obtain a studio-quality audio environment without specific acoustic treatment of your room. It also allows you to adapt the different DSP modes, including CINEMA DSP, to the acoustic properties of the room.

Virtual CINEMA FRONT: superb virtual 7.1 High Resolution sound

For installations subject to space constraints, Yamaha’s Virtual CINEMA DSP technology allows you to enjoy a stunning virtual Surround field using only speakers at the front of the listening area. This exclusive Yamaha technology relies on the use of two Surround speakers and a center speaker placed at the front for a high-resolution 7-channel* Surround field, with incredible virtual reproduction of the rear channels. By adding two front presence speakers, it is even possible to create a 3-dimensional sound space with vertical movement effects.
