High-resolution USB-powered converter, compatible with DSD format, featuring a built-in headphone amp with a sophisticated balanced circuit capable of powering most of today’s headphones. The NuPrime uDSD is offered at a very attractive price for an audiophile device of this quality. This pocket-sized converter, powered directly from a computer’s USB port, is compatible with Hi-Res audio streams up to 24-bit/384 kHz and DSD256.
The NuPrime uDSD features an asynchronous USB receiving interface and upsampling filters that reduce jitter by half. Housed in an ultra-compact aluminum case, it is a particularly versatile product. It has two outputs: a digital S/PDIF and an analog RCA 2 Vrms.
The NuPrime uDSD can serve many functions. It is perfect for complementing a high-end digital-to-analog converter that may not be compatible with the DSD format. The NuPrime uDSD can also directly drive a Hi-Fi system or powered speakers thanks to its high-quality analog volume control.
Finally, the NuPrime uDSD is a high-performance pocket headphone amplifier, built around balanced circuits, capable of powering most current headphones and earphones.

Michel
Small, compact device but very capable. Clear and detailed sound thanks to a well-supported ES9010K2M Sabre DAC chip: no aggressive high frequencies. Satisfactory headphone amplification, but nice RCA connectors allow connecting a higher-end headphone amp or an audiophile-quality hi-fi system. Recommended!
Pros: A small, talented device that can be used anywhere, even as a DAC for an audiophile setup.
Cons: Nothing significant.
