Overview

The NAD C510 promises to redefine the separate components of a Hi-Fi setup. For decades, audiophiles have organized their systems with a source component, such as a CD player, paired with a preamplifier and power amplifier connected to a pair of speakers. This has recently changed, and today the CD player can be replaced by a computer or streaming music (via the Internet) and/or a networked NAS. The best of these are capable of streaming original Studio Master 24-bit recordings that are readily available. Thanks to the convenience and stunning sound quality of a computer, many music lovers have completely replaced their CD collections with digital music files. The C 510 Digital Preamp/DAC was created to address this new way of listening to music.
