The improvements made to our flagship product, the 7.2-channel THX Certified Select TX-RZ820 network A/V receiver, deliver truly spectacular sound performance. The dynamic audio amplification delivers high-current power to the speakers for more energy and highly realistic transient response, with a wide spectrum ranging from 5 Hz to 100 kHz. The all-channel, non-phase-shifting VLSC circuitry reveals the finest details present in the three-dimensional space.
Networked and analog audio in multiple rooms, with streaming via the built-in Chromecast and DTS Play-Fi, powers the NCP-302 wireless speakers via Blackfire’s FireConnect technology. Controllable from the app, the pre-out/line and amplified audio distribution allows sound to be broadcast simultaneously in up to three zones. Suitable for custom installation, the receiver supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats, as well as Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma), and BT.2020 video transmission. In short, it’s the uncompromising 7.2-channel hub you’ve been waiting for.

Poor at reproducing bass on hi-fi speakers. Disappointed, my old less powerful amplifier performed better for hi-fi. The amplifier is good for home theater.

I've had the TX-RZ820 for 1 month now. I don't have much to complain about this amp in terms of build quality except that it takes up space. For hi-fi, the DAC works wonders on my Aria 296 speakers - from jazz to classical or even good rock, nothing can resist it. It delivers a rather neutral sound with a very good balance. I was finally able to discover the Arias 926. As for the home cinema part, it really packs a punch and the Arias are perfectly driven in a 5.1 configuration. I have very good spatialization and the center speaker delivers perfect voices. The subwoofer also delivers a meaty sound - personally I turned it down slightly. The automatic calibration is as simple as child's play, which is saying something since I'm coming from a Pioneer 921-K that was a real gas factory. In short, to summarize: an extra DAC, very good in Pure Direct mode. And a remarkable home cinema part that brings me sensations. PS the night mode is very practical for the kids or the neighbors in the evening :-) A big thank you to Homecinesolution for the advice and the price.
Pros: build quality.
Cons: for now, nothing to report.
