Unlike other products, whose upgrades have always turned out to be a dead end, the XMC-1 was designed to be upgradeable and ensure the longevity of your investment.

With an audiophile-grade, fully balanced design, high-performance HDMI video switching supporting formats up to 4k / 60Hz, and Dirac Live for Emotiva room correction, this US-made masterpiece delivers audio performance that rivals the best analog preamps. But it also combines video performance that rivals preamp/processors costing up to ten times as much.

The automatic room correction system

Every XMC-1 comes with the Dirac Live for Emotiva software suite. This is an Emotiva-customized version of the renowned Dirac Live room calibration, the most advanced system available today. Dirac Live has capabilities far beyond those of consumer room correction and works in both the time and frequency domains to make you fabulously experience the action of a big-budget HD movie and remove a veil between high-resolution music files and the music itself.

The powerful Dirac Live engine is integrated into the XMC-1 itself, and each XMC-1 includes its own calibrated measurement microphone and a license for Dirac Live LE for Emotiva software. Advanced users can purchase a copy of Dirac Live Full for Emotiva, which works with the same Dirac engine in the XMC-1, and offers several options for customizing the room correction, including the ability to create custom target curves and usage options for calibrated third-party microphones.
