The ND8006 is designed to meet the diverse needs of modern digital music listeners and typically requires the integration of two or three separate audio components. Based on the successful NA8005 and SA8005 models, but with completely redesigned features and audio design, it combines CD player and digital audio functionality for home networking, local USB storage, and online audio sources (Internet Radio), HEOS support, and DAC functions for direct connection to computers and other devices. It is also scalable with USB-B (USB-DAC function), accepts a variety of file formats up to 11.2 MHz DSD and 384 kHz / 32-bit PCM, and further provides Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth capabilities for music playback from portable devices.
HEOS technology built into the ND8006 allows you to wirelessly stream and play your favorite music from virtually unlimited sources. Listen to music from your local music library. With additional HEOS components, such as the HEOS speaker series or other HEOS-enabled receivers, you can listen to all your music throughout your home. Easy full control with the free HEOS app.
Coaxial and optical digital inputs as well as USB-B ports allow you to stream music directly from your PC or MAC or connect to other digital sources. USB-B operates in asynchronous mode, supporting not only 384 kHz / 32-bit high-resolution audio, but also 2.8 MHz, 5.6 MHz, or even 11.2 MHz DSD, optimizing performance and benefiting from exceptional quality in the most direct way. To ensure quality when connecting the computer, Marantz has improved the isolation measures around the USB-B input port to eliminate the possibility of high-frequency noise generated by the computer entering the ND8006. In addition, the front USB port accepts a USB stick or hard drive for playback of standard music files.
The ND8006 features a unique MMDF (Marantz Music Digital Filter), optimized by the reference technology of enthusiasts. For Marantz, using a standard digital filtering solution is not an option, as filtering is essential for the sound reproduction of digital input signals. Therefore, in order to acquire in-depth knowledge, we have invested heavily in the development of the highly reputed Marantz Music Mastering technology, which led to the creation of the award-winning Premium Range 10 series of products. After debugging the hardware design of the ND8006, this solution is called the Marantz Music Digital Filtering technology. Two optional digital filtering functions for all tastes, which carefully handle the smallest details contained in digital audio signals, transforming new media files into the finest high-resolution playback.
The ND8006 is equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless streaming connectivity and an advanced dual-antenna transceiver system that ensures extremely reliable streaming, even in crowded urban environments. With Apple’s AirPlay 2 compatibility, you can wirelessly listen to your favorite tracks from your iOS devices such as iPhone and iPad.
