Atacama is a British company founded in 1969 to manufacture aeronautical equipment. Their expertise in mechanics and resonance management led them to design speaker stands and hi-fi furniture.
These products immediately met with great success among the most demanding audiophiles. The Equinox furniture range is suitable for both audiophile hi-fi systems and exceptional home theater setups. The bottom shelf is taller to accommodate large components (such as a home theater amplifier).
The triangular architecture with decoupling spikes on each shelf largely explains the unshakable stability of the entire unit. The laminated glass shelves combined with the metal columns give this furniture a light, airy, very contemporary aesthetic that is easy to integrate into all types of interiors. Voted best furniture in its price category by What Hi-Fi? magazine (in October 2002).
