Taking full advantage of NuPrime’s award-winning products, the MCX has been developed for the multichannel market. The MCX uses NuPrime’s Class A+D hybrid amplification technologies that provide the substance and warmth of Class A amplification as well as the efficiency and speed of Class D technology in an environment of immeasurable noise.
A 1,000 W power supply and a set of 33,000 uF CMA capacitors allow the MCX to fully exploit the capacity of the Class A+D design to deliver huge amounts of power and speed when needed on one or more channels.
The MCX amplification circuit improves on the traditional Class D design by using a self-oscillating circuit to generate pulse width modulation. The amplifier switches at a frequency of 550 kHz, well beyond the 44.1 kHz sampling rate of the compact disc.
