The AT-OC9XSL stands out with its dual moving coil design, featuring independent coils for the left and right channels, ensuring remarkable channel separation. The coils are arranged in an inverted V formation, exerting less pressure on the stylus and minimizing distortion. The cartridge body is pre-threaded, allowing for easy installation on the headshell or tonearm with only two screws, without requiring nuts.

The Special Line Contact stylus and boron cantilever provide precise tracking ability and high transient response. A neodymium magnet and permendur yoke significantly increase magnetic energy, while the aluminum body minimizes unwanted vibrations for superior audio reproduction. The coils use pure copper obtained through the Ohno Continuous Casting (PCOCC) process, ensuring pure signal transfer.

Audio Performance

The AT-OC9XSL offers an extended frequency response from 20 to 50,000 Hz, ensuring faithful reproduction of the entire sound spectrum. The channel separation of 28 dB at 1 kHz and a vertical tracking angle of 20° guarantee precise stereo imaging and a wide soundstage. The recommended vertical tracking force is 1.8 to 2.2 g, with 2.0 g as the standard, allowing for optimal tracking without damaging vinyl records.
