The PrimaLuna Evo 100 is a phono preamplifier designed to offer high-end component quality and features at an affordable price. The result is an MM and MC phono preamp that delivers exceptional sound quality for vinyl listening, with great attention to detail and performance. Its design centers around simplicity and practicality for easily connecting MM or MC turntables. Depending on the choice made, the load, gain and capacity settings can be adjusted accordingly. The goal is to make the vinyl listening experience as enjoyable and seamless as possible, while providing impeccable sound quality.

This PrimaLuna EVO tube phono preamplifier has the following features:

• Handmade construction of a thick, fully ventilated steel chassis with a five-coat finish, each coat hand-rubbed and polished, containing the best point-to-point wiring, using manufacturing that is normally only available at the highest price.
• High-end parts like those used in all other models; wide bandwidth for superb bass and extended highs; ceramic tube sockets; Nichicon and DuRoch capacitors; 5AR4 tube-rectifier-circuit; gold-plated panel-mounted RCA input and output jacks.
• A 100% shielded Phono chassis where needed.
• SoftStart circuitry for extended life of sensitive components, plus reduced risk of tube failure from thermal shock.
• All PrimaLuna power transformers include the PTP (Power Transformer Protection) circuit. When the power transformer overheats due to an overload or a problem in the unit, an internal thermal switch allowed the unit to cool down before damage occurred. Once cooled, contact is re-established and if nothing is broken, the preamp will power up and function properly.
