Reloop Pack RT-1 BT + DSM3 BT
Overview
From vinyl to speakers, this pack brings together two components designed to work as a pair. The RT-1 BT turntable and DSM-3 BT monitors share a common Bluetooth connectivity that simplifies setup, while their conventional wired inputs remain available. The set arrives ready to use: the cartridge is already mounted on the turntable, and the speakers only require a simple connection. A minimalist configuration to rediscover your records without complex cabling.
A belt-drive turntable with wireless output
The RT-1 BT uses belt drive rather than a direct-drive motor. This technical choice decouples the platter from the motor, thereby reducing vibrations transmitted to the cartridge. The platter itself is made from die-cast aluminum, machined to ensure stable rotation at 33 1/3 or 45 revolutions per minute.
The statically balanced S-shaped tonearm features a hydraulic cueing system that slows the descent of the stylus into the groove. An anti-skating mechanism compensates for the arm’s natural centripetal force, reducing uneven wear on the groove walls and improving tracking. These features, usually reserved for higher ranges, help preserve both the records and the stylus.
The supplied cartridge bears the Reloop OM Black name, but is in fact manufactured by Ortofon in Denmark. This moving magnet cartridge belongs to the Danish manufacturer’s OM series, known for its upgrade potential: simply replace the stylus with a higher-end model (OM 10, 20, 30 or 40) to improve sound reproduction without changing either the cartridge or the turntable. The SME-standard headshell also allows you to mount other models available on the market.
Built-in preamp and flexible connectivity
A phono preamplifier is housed in the turntable chassis. It amplifies and equalizes the signal according to the RIAA curve before sending it to an amplifier or powered speakers. A switchable output lets you choose between phono mode (unamplified signal, for an external preamp) and line mode (signal ready to use). This option avoids having to purchase a separate preamplifier while still allowing you to use one if you already own a higher-performance unit.
The built-in Bluetooth module adds an uncommon installation flexibility for this type of product. The turntable can transmit the audio signal wirelessly to the DSM-3 BT speakers or to any other compatible receiver. This feature lets you place the turntable and speakers in different areas of the room, without cable length constraints. The wired RCA connection remains available for those who prefer a traditional hookup.
Desktop speakers with built-in amplification
The DSM-3 BT form an active/passive system: the main speaker houses the two class A/B amplifiers of 20 watts RMS each and powers the second speaker via a dedicated cable. This architecture simplifies wiring (only one mains cable) while delivering true stereo.
Each speaker combines a 1.3 cm tweeter and an 8.9 cm woofer in a bass-reflex enclosure. The rear port extends low-frequency response despite the compact format. The stated frequency range goes from 80 Hz to 20 kHz, which covers most of the musical spectrum, even if the very lowest frequencies will remain in the background due to the limited cabinet volume.
The drivers feature magnetic shielding. This protection prevents interference when the speakers are placed near a computer screen, mixing console, or other equipment sensitive to magnetic fields—an appreciable detail in an office or home studio environment.
Front-panel controls within easy reach
The main speaker houses all the controls on its front panel: master volume knob, bass and treble adjustments, Bluetooth pairing button with indicator light, and a 3.5 mm headphone output. This layout avoids having to reach behind the speakers once installation is complete.
The EQ section lets you adapt the response to the acoustic characteristics of the room or to personal preferences. A desk close to a wall will naturally boost bass, in which case reducing the bass level will restore balance. Conversely, a very open placement may justify a slight boost.
An additional 3.5 mm jack output allows you to connect an active subwoofer. This option extends the response to the lowest frequencies if the output of the small drivers is not sufficient for certain kinds of music or for light home cinema use.
Tempo adjustment and Auto Stop function
The RT-1 BT pitch control can be adjusted over a ±10% range. This goes beyond the needs of simple speed correction and allows you to match two tracks to the same tempo when mixing. The presence of this control, uncommon on entry-level turntables, opens up possibilities for learning beatmatching without investing in dedicated DJ gear.
The Auto Stop function stops the platter from spinning when the arm reaches the end of the record. This prevents the turntable from running indefinitely if forgotten, preserving the belt and reducing stylus wear on the run-out groove. There is no automatic arm return—the arm remains on the last groove until you manually place it back on its rest.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the turntable be used without Bluetooth, only in wired mode?
Yes. The turntable has an RCA output on the back. Simply connect it to the RCA inputs of the DSM-3 BT speakers or any other amplifier. Bluetooth is a convenience feature, not an obligation.
What type of stylus is fitted to the Ortofon OM Black cartridge?
The OM Black cartridge uses an elliptical diamond stylus. It’s a versatile profile that offers a good compromise between tracking precision and lifespan. To improve sound quality, you can replace the stylus with an OM 10, 20, 30, or 40 model, all compatible with the supplied cartridge body.
Do the speakers work with sources other than the turntable?
Absolutely. The RCA input accepts any audio source (CD player, audio interface, smartphone with adapter). Bluetooth also lets you connect a phone, tablet, or computer to listen to streaming music or digital files.
Do I need to ground the turntable?
The built-in phono preamp generally makes this unnecessary. If the turntable is connected in phono mode to an external preamp, a ground connection may be required to eliminate any potential hum. The turntable has a grounding screw for this purpose.
Can you listen on headphones without turning on external speakers?
Yes. The headphone output on the front of the main speaker remains active as long as the speaker is powered. Just plug in a pair of headphones and turn down the master volume if you do not want sound from the speakers at the same time.
Does the turntable play 78 rpm records?
No. The motor only offers two speeds: 33 1/3 and 45 revolutions per minute. Playing 78 rpm records would also require a cartridge fitted with a stylus suitable for the wider grooves of this format.
Is a subwoofer essential?
No. The DSM-3 BT reproduce frequencies from 80 Hz upward, which covers the vast majority of music content. Adding a subwoofer only makes sense for music that is very rich in sub-bass or if you are looking for a more pronounced physical impact in the low end.
