Cardas RCA Parsec (RCA Analog Audio Cables)
Successor to the Quadlink, the Parsec is the first cable in the Cross range to feature Matched Propagation conductors, a technology derived from the Clear series (Cardas’ high-end line). The principle: synchronizing the signal’s propagation speed in the conductor with that of the dielectric in order to preserve micro‑information and natural transients. George Cardas filed a patent (US 7,674,973) for this design in 2010.
The 99.9999% OFC Grade 1 copper conductors are braided according to golden ratio proportions, a Cardas hallmark since the brand’s early days. The shielded twisted-pair geometry uses poly-e air tubes and a carbon‑impregnated FEP tape to isolate the tinned copper shield from the conductors. GRMO connectors (eutectic brass, rhodium-plated over silver) complete the package.
The sound leans toward neutrality with a slight warmth in the midrange. Bass remains fast, treble is extended without harshness. The Alcryn rubber jacket makes the cable flexible and easy to install, a notable improvement over the stiffer Quadlink.
