The MX-A5000, which offers no less than 11 channels of 170 W, within a solid reinforced chassis for optimal rigidity. Equipped with a double bottom and the A.R.T (Anti Resonance Technology Wedge) system that acts as an additional anti-vibration system at the bottom of the chassis for the most delicate components. A high-efficiency toroidal transformer and capacitors that minimize energy loss have been developed for it to serve a three-stage Darlington class AB output circuit per channel.
Using Cinema DSP HD3 technology, the pinnacle of 3-dimensional sound field reproduction, the CX-A5000 AV pre-amplifier delivers a precise and detailed sound image. The 11-channel MX-A5000 Power Amplifier plays a driving role in forcefully delivering incredible quality and performance on each channel. The combination of these two elements ensures unprecedented dynamics. Regardless of the type of source selected, it is possible to enjoy total immersion in the soundtrack and dive into an 11.2 surround field.
Yamaha has created an advanced high rigidity chassis. It is enhanced by an H-shaped internal structure reinforcing mechanical strength, aluminum front and sides, and a triple-thickness structure with independent top and side panels. Any external vibration from the rack or other sources is reduced by the massive decoupling feet. The A.R.T. (Anti-Resonance Technology) system at the center of the bottom panel acts as an additional vibration suppressor and firmly supports the internal circuits. In addition, each model has a double bottom, with the MX-A5000’s made of 1.6mm steel vibration control plates, following the same design as the flagship Z11. To support the heavy heat sinks and other components, it has an independent left-right construction reinforced by a rigid structure. The bottom panel reduces the transmission of vibrations produced by the large power transformer and heat sinks. It also features massive decoupling feet blocking external vibrations.
To deliver all the power it is capable of, the MX-A5000 uses high-quality components with superior properties selected after countless hours of attentive listening. The toroidal power transformer has been specially developed for maximum efficiency. With two specific high-capacity capacitor blocks (27,000uF), it minimizes energy loss for maximum musical expressiveness. The speaker connection terminals are gold-plated and compatible with Y-plugs for optimal communication.
The Yamaha MX-A5000 is designed for optimal flexibility. In addition to 11-channel output that fully leverages the Cinema DSP HD3 system and takes full advantage of speaker capabilities, it offers bi-amplification to drive the tweeter and woofer with separate amplifiers. What’s more, it enables bi-amplification on, for example, five channels using the eleven internal channels. Additional amplifiers can be used in other zones beyond the main room, allowing you to provide sound in a bedroom or kitchen, for instance. It is possible to switch the inputs of the eleven channels between synchronous or asynchronous mode, for even greater flexibility.
