The Sonica DAC is equipped with ESS Technology’s ES9038PRO 32-bit HyperStream DAC technology. As the flagship of the ESS SABRE PRO series, the ES9038PRO sets a new benchmark in the world of audio excellence with an exceptional dynamic range of 140 dB.

Fully balanced design

The audio signal path of the Sonica DAC is perfectly symmetrical and balanced from the converter to the XLR outputs. The RCA output signal is converted from the balanced output for perfect balance when listening via RCA.

Easy connection with sources and amplifiers

The Sonica DAC offers both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs. The outputs can be set to variable volume (pre-amplification) or bypass (direct source), making it perfectly compatible with preamplifiers or power amplifiers. The 12V trigger input/output allows you to turn the entire audio system on and off with a single click. In addition to the USB DAC input and network streaming, the Sonica DAC also features coaxial and optical digital inputs for other external digital audio sources.
