Inakustik Reference LS-204 Micro AIR Easy plug (2 x 3m)

Like the flagship model, the LS-204 is also based on MICRO AIR technology. The difference lies in the multi-core architecture. Compared to the XL version, the LS-204 has four concentric copper wires instead of six. This incredibly agile cable was primarily developed for slim floor-standing speakers with smaller bass drivers.

Micro Air Technology

The laws of nature cannot be reprogrammed. The only thing you can do is skillfully play with them. Every cable has so-called parasitic effects due to these laws of nature. Among them is capacitance, which is the ability of a cable, like a battery, to temporarily store energy and release it with a certain delay. This effect strongly influences the transmission of audio signals and is undesirable. Line capacitance is a physical phenomenon whose size depends on various factors. One of them plays an essential role: the insulating material, called the dielectric, which can increase the capacitance several times over. Air does not do this, making it the ideal insulator. Part of the insulation in MICRO AIR technology is a complex rhomboid structure. The chambers created by this assembly increase the distance between the conductors and the air content of the insulation. In this way, disruptive capacitances are reduced and the transmission characteristics of sensitive audio signals are optimized.

Concentric Copper

Unlike conventional conductors, in which the arrangement of each wire is chaotic, the structure of the wires in a concentric copper conductor follows a defined pattern, with the wires precisely arranged in multiple layers. This design reduces irregular contact points between the wires, harmonizing signal flow and minimizing propagation time differentials. Impulses can be reproduced with absolute precision and the spatial information of the music is preserved. A thin layer of polyethylene protects the very pure copper against oxygen and thus oxidation.
